We sail to the waters where we have the biggest change to spot a diversity of whales. Moreover, this is the best place on earth to see the Northern lights!
Day 1: Harstad: the gateway for spotting whales around Andenes
In the harbor of Harstad our sailingship Noorderlicht is waiting for you where you can board from 1600.
Day 2: Cast off the lines & hoist the sails towards Skrolsvik
After breakfast we will leave Harstad and we will set sail towards Skrolsvik, which is situated at the southernmost tip of the island of Senja and offers a beautiful scenery. Since there is not much light pollution here, it gives a perfect location for observing the Northern lights in the evening.
Day 3: in search for whales around Andenes
We will leave Skrolsvik in the morning to set course towards the ‘’Bleik-canyon’’ situated on the edge of the continental shelf. In the afternoon we will moor in the harbor of the fishing village Andenes
Day 4 -6: Exploring the spectacular scenery of Senja
We spend the next couple of days sailing along the coast of the island Senja. In the afternoon we will moor in one of the tiny fishing villages nearby, such as Gryllefjorden or Hamn.
Day 7: Return towards Harstad
We will spend this day sailing back towards Harstad.
